Agency Standings

Methodology preview

Evidence first. Scores are not live.

Updated . Every agency on the site is marked Beta / methodology preview. Lists are alphabetical. Ecom is the first industry with profiles.

What is published now

Profiles carry public facts from each agency homepage: the title, the meta description, service keywords in that copy, and a few homepage signals. Every fact has a source link and a retrieval date. Locations in our working notes are labeled unsourced until a page confirms them.

Planned score, not yet applied

A later composite would be computed by code from stored evidence. A language model may extract a fact. It does not assign the number. These weights are the plan. They are not producing scores today.

  1. Delivered work quality

    25%

Planned: real-user Core Web Vitals and build checks on sites attributed to the agency, weighted toward the last 24 months.

  2. Creative output

    20%

Planned: public ad-library creative for attributed clients, read for cadence and format, then spot-checked.

  3. Verified outcomes

    20%

Planned: case-study claims only after the client confirms them, plus reviews tied to a work email or an invoice.

  4. Client retention

    20%

Planned: length of relationships from confirmed client lists and public continuity, not from a star rating.

  5. Momentum

    15%

Planned: public hiring, launches, and client changes. Missing data stays missing. It is not treated as a zero.

Rules that keep it fair

  • Minimum evidence. A later score needs attributed work. Below that bar, a profile stays Profiled, not ranked. This preview is entirely in that state, so nobody is singled out.
  • Peer groups. A later comparison is inside an industry and a service, not against every agency at once.
  • Payment firewall. Billing data is not an input. A sponsor mark never sits inside a leaderboard.
  • Versioning. Weights on this page are the planned preview. A change to a live score would be announced ahead of time.
  • Neutral facts. This preview does not publish a negative claim about a named agency.

An independent list

Agency Standings is an independent ranking site. A subscription, a claimed profile, and a newsletter sponsorship do not move a listing. Sponsor marks stay out of the leaderboard.

Questions

Can an agency pay for a better rank?

No. Payment is not an input to Agency Standings. This preview does not sell placement inside the leaderboard. A later subscription, if one is offered, would be tools on a claimed profile. It would not move a listing, a match, or a score.

Why are there no scores?

Every agency is shown as Beta / methodology preview. A score needs enough attributed work to be fair, and this preview does not have that evidence yet. Until scores exist, the Ecom list is alphabetical. Alphabetical order is not a rank.

What evidence is on a profile today?

Public facts taken from the agency homepage: the title, the meta description, service keywords found in that copy, and homepage signals such as a stated Shopify partner tier. Each fact links to the page it came from and shows the date it was retrieved.

Is Agency Standings independent?

Yes. Agency Standings is an independent ranking site. Payment, a claimed profile, and a newsletter sponsorship do not move a listing.

How do corrections work?

Use the claim form, or write to hello@agencystandings.com. A work email on the agency domain gets a one-time link, or the agency can place a token on the homepage or in DNS. A person then approves it. Approval can update the description, logo, links, and services. It does not change rank or sourced facts.

Which industries are live?

Ecom is the live list, and it is a methodology preview. SaaS, Legal, Finance, and Service each have a page. Service means local and home service businesses. Those four boards do not publish profiles yet.

Does this preview publish criticism of an agency?

No. This preview publishes neutral public facts only. It does not publish a negative claim about a named agency. A later score, if one is published, will stay tied to linked evidence and a right of reply.
